Ceramic Futures: from poetry to science fiction, the best projects presented today at Cersaie

Four groups of students from 4 international design schools (Politecnico, Milan, Accademia di Belle Arti, Bologna, EnsAD, Paris and ELISAVA, Barcelona) took part in a design challenge, conducted entirely by mail, on the future of ceramic coverings, in response to a brief conceptual introduction by Stefano Mirti on the themes of “to walk”, “to eat”, “to love” and “to sleep” .

Two projects were selected from each school, one for its “media success” on the social platform in terms of votes, comments, likes and interactions, which made it possible to map every participant's profile, identifying the “most active”, “most amiable”, “most generous” and “most charismatic”, and the second by a jury of Stefano Mirti himself, the Ceramic Futures staff and Confindustria Ceramica.

 The winners were present in the gallery today: Alice Forestan with “Fragmentis” and Lena Plaschke with “Urban Tiles”, for Accademia di Belle Arti, Bologna; Kitiara Ferran with “Break to Creste” and Luis De Sousa with “Time will Break us Apart”, for ELISAVA, Barcelona; Emilie Ricada with “Kamazulejos” and Lionel Salazar with “Blue Lantern”, for EnsAD, Paris; Francesco Pacelli with “Hoop” and Luca Acito with “Anomàlia”, for Politecnico, Milan.
