With masters degrees in both architecture and landscape design to her name, Lily Jencks runs an interdisciplinary landscape and architecture firm LJA+Land and works with her father Charles Jencks in the land-art firm JencksSquared.
Lily’s work with architect Rem Koolhaas on a landscape and art installation in Glasgow developed her recurring themes of perception and immersive landscape effects, won a RIBA Gold Medal and the Doolan Award and was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize. Lily is currently working on a contemporary Chinese gardenin Hong Kong, and the central ‘Garden for Reflecting Mountains’ for the World Garden Expo in Suncheon, South Korea.
