Paolo Mossa

Born in Bari on 17/03/1985, he graduated in Architecture from Bari Politecnico University in July 2009 with a Dissertation on the “Architecture of combined brickwork and reinforced concrete structures”, and qualified to practise as an architect in April 2010.

In 2010 and 2011 he worked for the RicciSpaini Architetti Associati firm in Rome, taking part in various Italian and international competitions for architectural designs, subsequently continuing to do so on his own, in association with Valeria Moscardin and with the Studio Mossa firm, achieving excellent results, including first place in the competition to design the new “Cecilia” metropolitan railway station in Bari, now under construction, selection as a finalist for “Baricuci” on the theme of the burying of railways, and the selection of  “The Harlem Edge – Cultivating Connections” for publication and for inclusion in the exhibition held from July to October 2012 at the "Center for Architecture" in New York.

From November 2011 to April 2012 he was one of the coordinating team of architects on the construction of the new Naples-Afragola high speed railway station, designed by Zaha Hadid architects.

Although his university studies have given him a strongly classical approach to architecture, he is drawn on the one hand to a thorough investigation of the principles of contemporary architecture, and on the other to experimentation with emerging branches of the discipline, such as parametric architecture.
