The first training program sponsored by Renzo Piano was established in 1997 under the name of the Renzo Piano Workshop. In 2001, an agreement was signed with Harvard University, which laid the foundations for what would later become the Foundation’s “studio”. Finally, in 2004, the Renzo Piano Foundation was established in Genoa. This non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting the architectural profession by proposing study and research activities in the field of architecture. The Renzo Piano Foundation’s program includes activities dedicated to the preservation and protection of the Foundation’s archive, Training and Education, as well as Publishing and the organization of exhibits, conferences and events.
